Is there a nationa registry for do not fax?
Our home telephone has a faxing capability, which we use maybe once a year. A matter of habit.

And recently, about once a month, we are getting a mortgage solicitation. It does send us to a web address called donofaxregistry.com to be removed, but I am afraid that, like many spams, it would just give them an email address.

Is such a site legit?

I scrawled in big letters "STOP" and faxed it back. Done this before with no results, obviously.

Now I am tempted to put Jena Bush with her "Home phone" and emali address and fax it back

:puke:

1. I get about five per day.
I have a gallery in the 94920 ZIP, which happens to be the highest per-capita income ZIP in the nation.

Seems as if everybody and their brothers want to help plan and finance my next vacation (which I never seem to get around to taking).

And stock market tips? I could be a brazillionaire by now if I had only had the funds to take advantage of all of those tips.

3. There shouldn't have to be. Unsolicited faxing is illegal.
Technically, US law defines and unsolicited commercial traffic, directed electronically--including email and faxing--as a crime.

By the way, you're right to be careful. "donofaxregistry.com" is not a legitimate website. It's owned by a company in the Cayman Islands.
