CORSICANA, Texas (AP) - A 6-year-old girl was found hanged inside her family's garage and had been sexually assaulted before she died, police said Wednesday.

Authorities have made no arrests or named any suspects since Hannah Mack's body was discovered by her mother on Monday. They are saying little about their investigation.

"I will confirm that the hanging and sexual assault were part of this scenario," Navarro County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Mike Cox said.

Cox said several people have been interviewed and no one has been ruled out as a suspect.

Police asked state caseworkers to not say whether Hannah's family had been investigated by child welfare officers, said Marissa Gonzales, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She characterized the request as uncommon.

Funny how the article reads.

No one is precluded from being a suspect. Also how they play up that CPS isn't allowed to report whether or not there have ever been any reports of abuse respecting the poor little girl. They make big deal out of "how they have never been asked to do this before".

Seems to me the police don't have much in the way of evidence or they plan on making some up.

I just don't trust cops.

I DO hope they find the true perpetrators. However, it is Texas. They have their OWN judicial system.

The Navarro County Sheriff's Department may have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 6-year-old girl found hanged in her family's garage on Monday.

Preliminary autopsy reports show Hanna Mack was sexually assaulted before she died.

Reports say the man arrested is the boyfriend of Hanna's mother.

The sheriff's department is not releasing the man's name, and won't confirm the arrest, but are planning a news conference at 10:00 a.m.

These are the good guys. Good guys who's good principles are for naught, if they are willing to set them aside merely for the satisfaction of seeing another human being, no matter how vile, suffer.

And even if the wish is only to see this baby-killing scum ended forever, the question of compromised principles remains if one normally opposes the Death Penalty.

CORSICANA, Texas (AP) - A 6-year-old girl who had been sexually assaulted was found hanged inside her family's garage, and authorities on Thursday described her mother's boyfriend as the primary suspect.

The boyfriend was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of child pornography and remained in the Navarro County Jail on Thursday.

Sheriff's deputies have not charged him in the death of young Hanna Mack, but they identified him as the primary suspect, Chief Deputy Mike Cox said Thursday.
