I got a call from the "Hillary Search Consultants" saying they were conducting a survey to determine media sources and something really strange got picked up on the recording.
First, some background. My recorder had already gone off when I picked up the phone. I tried to talk through it and listen to the responses of the caller as the recorder drone on, I just heard enough to know it was a poller.
Now, this has happened to me before where I got a call from a survey company which turned out to have an almost exclusive Republican political client list, so I'm very careful to make sure I hear the name of the polling company so I can input it in the computer real quick before I start answering questions. In this particular case, I knew I would not have time to answer questions, so I held on, waiting for the recording to end, just to find the name of the organization. As soon as the babble part of the recording ended, any reasonable person would have known that we were being recorded and since I knew I wasn't going to answer questions, I didn't think it was a big deal. I asked and the person replied he was from the Hillary Search Consultants and yadda, yadda, and once I told him I didn't have time to answer questions, he politely, but very swiftly hung up. So did I. Swiftly.
Then this morning, I went back to the recording to get the name of the organization to do a search on the internet and I noticed that the recording didn't stop after we both hung up. I heard intermittent clicking noises, then I heard an audible sigh. Like a man's sigh after a long day's work. Then the recording stopped.
Is it possible that someone has bugged the Hillary lines? Or is it possible that this is just the usual quality control recordings?
