Of it's $2,000,000 goal. The General Petraus issue has now had a little time to cool off and fade somewhat. Only 10% left so I wanted to write a post to remind people here around the first of the month (payday) of the goal and how close we now are. you can send a photo of yourself with a sign saying what you want to say, and they are compiling thousands of the photos together for an ad. I don't have the link, but look on their website if interested in participating.

not helpful to the cause yall want to support. It provided the Republicans with the opportunity to go on the offensive when they were scrambling for a defense. It was a politically stupid thing to do and I'm not inclined to lend anymore support to an organization that will not learn from its mistakes.

Evidence seems to indicate he is in fact, an asshole. And why does putting on
a uniform inoculate someone against criticism? That's the thing I can't fathom.
This "America first, right or wrong" attitude really fucks our standing in the world.
(Unless you're a winger/gun-nut/"my way or the highway" type.)

But politically it made no sense whatever to attack a guy in uniform. The whole message could have been cast in a way that was more effective and politically less incendiary. We want to win this next election and I can't stand the notion that the hotheads with "balls" in our camp are gonna give away for the sake of being righteous. Let the Republicans do that.
