"The Prophecies of Asu-The nation of Freedom"
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 03:21 PM by shadowknows69
Hearken to me children if your ears take the dare
Gather and listen to the Prophecies of Asu.
That is my name and my tale now begins;
Please, take a chair.

A tale of a mighty land called Freedom and her fall
Part the past, part the now and of course part the path to come
I only reveal what I see, different from the all
Many places can the leaves fall before the now is done

And becomes the future.

The burning times are on the path
Like before, yet different.
Still slaying intellect and reason
And death reigns for a long, long season.

Yet the damned now be more than then.
Heretics by the millions
Committing millions of new sins.
Thou shall not suffer the different to live

Freedom lived like its name
A shining beacon to the world
Hubris even when it stood in shame
Nothing would take their way of life. They’d killed so many to obtain it.
Ghosts walk; still crying for retribution.

Ashes and shades still cover these plains
Where mountains of steel once stood and fortunes were lost and made.
But too many lost. Too many living in the shade.
Faith moves mountains as does the faithless it seemed.

Freedom’s Kings cared not for their subjects
Where once wise and great men took the thrown
Only Princes of darkness held it before too long.
And the people slept, and believed in their dreams
Manufactured by the Kings themselves; the vilest of schemes.

Blood and fire finally raised the people’s ire
Although it was too late to stop
A conflagration they had never dreamed
Awake now, by the sound of innocent screams

War, so far away once, came home, or was born there
Details are sketchy on who was fighting where
Some subjects marched and yelled, but no notice by the Kings.
They started to notice when the subjects started breaking things
Some rose up and all were cut down silence ruled again for a spell.

A revolution finally quelled?
The meek shall inherit the earth
But the angry had to burn it first.
The Kings were punished the worst.

Freedom in chaos the world made her move.

Her armies beaten across the globe Freedom fell
Where we are today children, still fighting to this day
A new tyranny from across the sea.
The menace of the Red that Freedom foolishly thought dead

Only waiting instead, but they too shall fall
Heed the prophecies I tell you true
Dark deeds have been done to survive what we’ve been through
And more will be required to defeat our greatest enemy

Ourselves.
-Asu
