Coincidence? Bush's 11:00 am PC same time House GOP backers slated to take the floor

http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/blogs/politicalticker/2007/02/matter-of-timing.html

A matter of timing

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Just as President Bush gets set to hold his first press conference of the year to discuss the latest developments in Iraq and North Korea, a group of five Republicans on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue will begin speaking in support of the House resolution condemning the president's call for a troop increase.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is slated to yield the House floor to the group of Republicans at 11 a.m. ET, the same time Bush's press conference is scheduled to begin.

The GOP co-sponsor of the bill, Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina is expected to speak as well as Reps. Steven LaTourette of Ohio, Howard Coble of North Carolina, Phil English of Pennsylvania, and Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland.

A senior Democratic aide tells CNN that the 11 a.m. time slot was pre-scheduled, and it's a "lucky coincidence or unlucky, depending on how you look at it."

1. I need a break from all of this drama
Between nutsy the clown and the deafening Iran war drums. I am so scared that at any moment we'll get the "the bomb of Iran has begun" speech.

Is there a chance that Hoyer didn't want to look like he was talking over shrub?

2. Maybe they can do a split screen! Run subtitles for CSPAN
while Bush blathers his bravado.
