Expect this thing to spiral out of control - Turkey pretty much has the reasoning they were looking for to march into northern Iraq.

5. Yeah, it's kind of strange.
I understand why, though, sort of. Most Americans don't care about Turkey, so the media doesn't want to have to spend a few hours each day explaining the history of Turkey and its relation to its Kurdish population. The Republicans don't want to talk about this for obvious reasons. The Democrats don't want to make Iraq any more of an issue than they have to right now either.

6. Agreed, but this could very well be the last domino to fall
Theoretically, with all of the regional interests involved and the long history between all of the parties involved, this could ignite the "tinderbox" to the point of no return.

It's just a horrible situation.

7. The Corp Media will cover it when blood flows.
So far, there is no entertainment value in covering this.

8. Isn't that the truth
Our strongest predominately Muslim ally in some world affairs and that's quickly evaporating. Just when you thought we couldn't let things get any worse, something like this happens.

Of course, all is well in Iraq. We're turning the corner! :sarcasm:
