Clinton’s Lead in Historical Perspective (Basically Unprecedented)
http://www.gallup.com/poll/102265/Clintons-Lead-Historical-Perspective.aspx

PRINCETON, NJ -- The most recent USA Today/Gallup poll finds Sen. Hillary Clinton extending her already sizable lead over Barack Obama for Democrats' 2008 presidential nomination preference. Half of Democrats say they are most likely to support her for the nomination, and her 29-point lead over Sen. Barack Obama is the largest she has held to date. Additionally, a majority of Clinton supporters say they are certain to support her for the presidential nomination, and nearly two-thirds of Democrats say they would vote for her enthusiastically in November 2008 if she is indeed the party's nominee. Leads greater than 20 percentage points have been rare in past Democratic campaigns, but historically those who have enjoyed such a large lead in Gallup Polls this late in the year won the nomination the following year.

Gore looks like the only one with comparable leads that have been this durable so late in the game, and he was an incumbent VP.

I think that contrary to what Mr. Edwards believes, this is not 2004, and Hillary is not Dean.

3. Clinton Strategists Know that HRC's Lead Will Shrink....
The marketing of Clinton has been very clever.

Push poll Democrats nationally, and stay away from polling across the board(including independents/undecideds and unaffiliated voters) which would gauge her true strength in the General Election versus her other Democratic Candidates in the General Election.

IT is definitely Clinton's Democratic Nomination to win at this point. However, the closer we get to the primaries, the more engaged Democratic voters will be --and the closer they will look at her 'electibility' in the General Election.

AS a disclosure, I support Edwards. However, if HRC becomes the Democratic Nominee she will get my vote.

4. Dean Was Up By 30% Over Kerry Only One Month Before Iowa
That worked out pretty well, eh?

(This "resistance is futile" nonsense is as amusing as it is fictional)

5. How silly. There is no comparison. Dean was an unknown
Hillary is part of the American fabric

The comparison is ludicrous
