Bush press conference scheduled at last-minute for exact time Republicans opposed to "surge"...
were scheduled to start speaking in the House.

WP: "Democrats are taking note of the coincidental timing of Bush scheduling a last-minute White House news conference during the same time the 'anti-surge' House Republicans are speaking. The 11 a.m. Bush appearance was set at precisely the time that Rep. Walter Jones (N.C.) -- a Republican who's been opposed to the war for several years now -- was set to lead fellow anti-war Republicans on the floor in support of the Democrats' resolution."

1. I was wondering about the timing! Did you notice W's face??
My hubbie and I were shocked at what looked like lots of red bumps on both sides of his cheeks. I haven't seen anything about it on the boards.

3. I noticed that he was smirking at the questions and his answers and
I noticed that his cheeks looked like they were going to burst.

4. Im wondering about this sudden surge of Republicans that oppose the war
..never mind the surge issue..But where were these Republicans when the evidence that the Iraq war was a lost cause. Why weren't these Republicans standing with Congressmen like Murtha and others.. They were rubber stamp congressman as the Majority and now all of a sudden they are acting like Democrats..Had the Republicans won the Majority again would they be playing the same tune..I dont think so..The Republicans that are just now voicing their opposition are doing so because they know the majority of Americans now oppose the war..So its Votes in the ballot box or (touch screen)and nothing to do with the Iraq issue..Sorry but I just dont trust Republicans
