Ah. There you go.

Look, I don’t think that this originated with Clinton. It sarted with the right, and they pushed it hard.

But there’s certainly some circumstantial evidence that at least some Democrats were more than willing to sacrifice Amanda and Melissa if it made Edwards look bad.

Now we have at least a little bit of circumstantial evidence that points to a specific camp.

Hillary may not have any supporters whatsoever (I have yet to meet one, though she keeps polling well), but she does have an organization that knows how to play rough. Do you think her camp might have pulled out the long knives here? I think it’s possible. And I think this means we need to keep a close eye on the Clinton campaign–because tactics such as this should not be condoned. You don’t attack your own side–period. Fight on the turf of ideas, of skill, of leadership–not slime.

2. Interesting
"...O'Dwyer pushed a statement to the media reading, in part, "Senator Edwards is condoning bigotry by keeping the two bloggers on his staff. Playing to the cheap seats with anti-Catholic bigotry has no place in the Democratic Party." Now, whatever you think of the comments made by Edwards' staffers, it's hard to imagine that any Democrat thinks Edwards was "condoning bigotry" by not putting them out on the streets...

"..Could it be that O'Dwyer's anger is less about the words of one blogger and more about his own personal political loyalties? After all, O'Dwyer has given $12,100 to Edwards opponent Hillary Clinton since 2000 -- more than he's given to any other single candidate. And according to his official bio, he was the National Co-Chair or Irish-Americans for Clinton-Gore in 1992 and 1996..."

I would really like people to start outing these statements pushed to the media.

4. If 2004 is any indication of how things will be,
then hold on to your hat. There were attacks aplenty, and I am sitting on my hands to keep from naming those worse at doing them.
