About the Gore Draft....
If the petition drive doesn't work, don't they have write in candidates in elections?

1. Yes, you can write in a candidate. But on a national level...
the second coming of Jesus Christ couldn't get elected as a write-in.

2. Then why don't they do that.
Write in Albert Gore Jr. on the general? Hey, he's still a democrat.

3. As much as I love Gore and want him to run, he needs to say something
He needs to state that he is absolutely, positively, NOT RUNNING in 08 and WILL NOT RUN even if 'drafted' so the folks behind this can move on and direct their energy elsewhere.

4. The only hope for a viable Gore candidacy is if he is ..
nominated at the convention. The only way that's going to happen is for there to be no clear cut winner in the primaries or if the winner of the primaries should drop out before the convention for some reason.

5. I have seen so many people on here dead set
on having Gore for Pres. that this may be the best way around it. Just a suggestion.

6. My 74 yo mom is changing her party for the only time in 57 years to
vote for HRC in the primary and general next year. She registered R in 1951.

She says if Al jumps in he has her vote over HRC even!

She says there isn't a single R that she would ever consider voting for again, even in the primary.

Go Mom!! :applause:
