May I suggest that DU honor Dennis Kucinich is some fashion?
We have honored several brave Americans; Elizabeth Edwards, Barbra Boxer and Helen Thomas come to mind.

I am clueless as to what to actually do as I am "creatively challenged". I open the floor others for suggestions and taking the lead on a suggestion.

31. Listen, nobody could eat 25,000 bags of Oreos
He could give them to charity or to wounded soldiers or something. But we all agree that delicious cookies are one of the founding values that made our country great. What better way to express our support than by sending Oreos?

32. Oreos are NOT delicious cookies
they are very much processed and made by a cigarette manufacturer. I'm a big fan of freshly baked homemade cookies of most types, especially double chocolate.

6. Send him a campaign contribution!
Even if you think he can't possibly get the nomination. Even if you support another candidate. His voice needs to be heard and funding will keep him in the public eye!

7. We really need to do something
I like the idea of sending money to his campaign, but it would be kinda nice if there was something we could send as a visual/physical representation of the support he has. We all know how the media loves a photo op - and Dennis sure deserves one.

22. You know,...he deserves my honor of him.
He has ALWAYS advocated on behalf of me and those who are "common" people, like me.

He has NEVER sold out to greed.

He is strong in character and action.

He is true to his word (an incredibly RARE phenomenon in the political arena).

He is IN THE ARENA even when shouted down,...he is still in the arena.

He is resilient and informed and intelligent.

Yup! I honor Congressman Kucinich,...Dennis. He earned his worth in generosity towards humanity long LONG ago.

S-A-L-U-T-E!!!! :patriot: TO A PRO-DEMOCRACY HERO, THE HONORABLE DENNIS KUCINICH!!! :patriot:

Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 02:49 PM by in_cog_ni_to
If every DUer would support him, work for him and donate to him, we could actually get the man elected! I say all DUers should change their support to Kucinich and work their behinds off to get him elected. There's how many DU members now? I know it's over 100,000. We could be a real force!

edited to add DU membership: 110,279:)

but we wanted to send them to him so he can be reminded that he was one of the only ones in congress to show them.
