Robertson the king maker

Now hold on a second here. I have read and heard MANY, MANY times that Pat Robertson is only a fringe figure in the Republican Party and that he has no real power at all.

If that is the case, why is Rudy posing with Robertson after finally getting Robertson's endorsement? And why did Rudy work so hard to get that endorsement?

Robertson got a photo-op with the candidate. You get that when you are acknowledged to be a powerful king maker. The crazy old nut ball still has a lot of pull inside the GOP.

3. DC Gaggle(Media) love to think they have made Dobson

the Christian Leader of Importance. Because Roberston
and Falwell could say some outlandish things from time
to time, they were ignored by MSM. Robertson and Falwell
continued their influence with the people.

Interestingly enough before Falwell passed away, he made
a comment on TV which indicates he too probably would have
come out for Guilliani, if it appeared he might be winning.

Falwell said re nexr election. You do not get a plummer to
do brain surgery. This time the focus should be on a person
who can run the war on terror.

My point is out in the Hinterlands these men still influential
on people.
