President Bush is spending four hours here in San Antonio today
to visit the Center for the Intrepid, the 50 million dollar treatment center built here at Ft. Sam Houston to provide treatment and therapy for returning vets. The treatment center was built with private contributions from the fallen heroes fund and yet Bush is here to share in the glory. The government could not or would not provide adequate treatment for our vets and so this was done to fill in the gap. This center opened earlier this year and has been providing services for service members. Why Bush thinks he needs to come here when he would not provide the funds is beyond me.

3. Third picture should read:

Two wounded army soldiers still show their compassion for others by escorting a severely mentally ill patient.

5. Why did they invite him?
You say it is private for vets..................so someone had to encourage his presence... There must be a lot of repug money in the donations.....Makes sense, they can garner staged photo ops then.
