Poll question: Will the "Hillary Wars" tear us (DU) apart?
Will DU survive the Hillary Wars that appear evident?

9. Muskrat Susie for President!
Or maybe Muskrat Sam. I'm so torn. Muskrat Sam doesn't have the experience, but Muskrat Susie is MLC.

3. It sure will. DU is a resilent place I think.

A few people will leave, most will stay. In my opinion I won't be missing those who leave. Anyone who gives a vote to a Puke for president isn't worth much in my book anyway. They obviously are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.

Just my two cents.

It would better if it were limited to GD politics. So many of the posts are inane.

7. This too, shall pass.
The prospect of another Repig president appointing 3 more Supreme Court Justices re-focuses things a bit.

8. Not much different than the 2004 primaries. There'll be bile spewn
every which way, feelings will be hurt, some will "die" or jump on a loose iceberg--and when we realize what is at stake next year, the vast majority will suck it up for the good of the country.

We'll be okay, if a little scarred.

10. let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor....

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor Beaten why for
Can't take much more
One - Nothing wrong with me
Two - Nothing wrong with me
Three - Nothing wrong with me
Four - Nothing wrong with me
One - Something's got to give
Two - Something's got to give
Three - Something's got to give
Now
Let the bodies hit the floor
Push me again
This is the end
Skin against skin blood and bone
You're all by yourself but you're not alone
You wanted in now you're here
Driven by hate consumed by fear
Let the bodies hit the floor

That's when things will return to normal.
Untill the the occupying force will continue to make its presence known, just like in '04.

So whatever

19. Other: There is no US in DU.
DU is a constantly evolving group of individuals. People come and go all the time for different reasons. If Clinton becomes the nominee, many people, including myself will leave DU out of respect for the rules. However, each person that leaves will be replaced by someone else who will become part of the community.

At a time after the 2008 election, I and others will probably come back and others who came along just for the 2008 election will leave and DU will go on.

20. We'll be fine until she wins the Presidency.
I don't think it will take long for people to realize how little is going to change while she is in office. That is when the major splits will start. Those who held their noses so that we wouldn't have another Republican at the helm will end up leaving. I think we'll see a lot of criticism of Hillary for doing things that Bush did too, except this time there will be scores of people defending those actions. Eventually that level of hypocrisy will just be too much and it will split this site and the political left in general.

21. Your two poll questions - title and text - are opposite
just fyi.

The only thing the hatred for Hillary, what you euphemistically call the 'Hillary Wars', is doing to me is making me realize that DHLs will never learn, not even after what they did to Gore, not even after enduring nearly a decade of Bush and Cheney. And that they can not be trusted politically, which is an awareness that makes Democratic politicians stronger in understanding they must move to the right, to allow those less politically astute leftists the freedom to vote for third parties, or sit home and sulk.

So yes, it makes us stronger as a party.

22. They're not Hillary wars, they're primary or candidate wars, and
if D.U. can't survive that, it speaks ill of our ability to maintain our democratic republic as freedom of speech would be too dangerous for our own good. The alternative would be to get a Big Brother to tell us how to think.
