"New Boom: Protecting the Rich"

(scroll down home page)

Leads to this:
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Investing/FindHotStocks/FindHotStocksDyn.aspx?cp-documentid=5688897

The full article:
How to Profit from a Police State

Given the alteration in title, I am surprised. There is no correlation between the two, despite the article's title that promises oh-so-much.

I wonder who flubbed on their website, and which is the correct article title...?

1. Post Depression Apocalypse

We'll see Blackwater thumpers gunning down anyone that even looks at the wealthy protected class in the streets of a place once called "Land of the Free, home of the brave."

3. Brazil has a similar system
the super-rich live in guarded enclaves, and some even commute by helicopter because it's unsafe to drive around..

They have created their own high-class prison..

That's the odd thing about "prosperity"..there is a tipping point.

When poor people quit aspiring to BE you, and start wanting to ELIMINATE you, you are no longer really free.. You may have money, but you are not even free to roam around your own city....serves 'em right :)

2. Yes, because the rich have suffered so much
The greatest transfer of wealth directly to the overrich the country has ever seen, and they aren't going to be giving back a penny of what they've looted from the serfs. So they need to hire the mercenaries to protect their ill-gotten goods.

The only good thing about mercenaries is that they can be bought, and since they don't have souls they go pretty cheaply.

5. You wouldn't believe me if I told you ......
I thought the same thing.. go with the flow and cash in on "Security for the Wealthy". Just like Black water. As a matter of fact, many of my friends left the Police Department and went to work for Black water. No problem.. seemed like a good idea. I was a retired City Police officer. I then signed up to work as a "Private" police officer for an exclusive gated community. (Minimum home purchase $4 million.) I cannot tell you the headaches. The times I was expected to follow drunk drivers home from the Country Club. (Try that from your local Public Golf Course.. you'll be tasered and beat until you cannot stand up...) I could tell you much more about what went on... but I dint need the headaches. I quit the job. What I can tell you is that Money buys power and privilege.. the laws are not the same for everyone.. come on.. act shocked...
