2. Nader is a U.S. Citizen Last I Checked
I assume you mean large D Democrat, as your "Fuck Nader" logo, denotes you are opposed to the principles of democracy.

You're reading too much into it. Welcome to DU, BTW!

8. LoZoccolo used a large D. Are you accusing LoZoccolo
of writing and meaning the same thing?

Do the principles of democracy specify that a logo must not express opposition to Ralph Nader?

14. The Democratic Party Doesn't Decide Who Runs for Pres.
Yes, LZ is not writing and meaning the same thing? This is what I try to do as a general rule.

No the principles of democracy specify that anyone can run for President. Limiting the number of candidates/parties is Stalin-esque.

It's also blaming others for the Democratic Party's own failures.

33. Always Look on the Bright Side
Ok, I will...
But not to be too serious again, I recommend you check out the documentary on Nader (An Unreasonable Man, I think it's called). The man is responsible for so many regulations on corporate activity. IMO, he is up there with Thomas Jefferson, FDR, MLK Jr., as an all time great American.

Can we assume that a lifelong self-identification as a Democrat will suffice? Glad to know you welcome my participation on DU - you've had me worried before, and I just don't know what I would have done if I thought you didn't want me here. ;-)

31. Point of information
In Texas, a person who votes in a party's primary is considered to be a member of that party. You might adopt that as your rule.

Sorry to say that original post was a bit insincere, but never mind that, There are a range of views represented here, and most, if not all, are constructive in intent. And again, welcome.

36. Yes diversity of thought is always welcome AND necessary
Pardon my french, but I believe its the other guys who think EVERYBODY should think the exact same way. This party has always been welcoming to many different POV's and not been about excluding those who "aren't true liberals". I might not agree with a lot of people here but I don't think people who see things *differently* should "give back the board" to those who believe ONLY their views are valid
