3. Have the DVD.........Every Normany Beach vet I have seen interviewed said the landing....

scenes are heart wrenchingly acurate.

4. And it was just that one beach. (Omaha) The other landing points were

very low key... almost unopposed. (some British units actually stopped for tea on the beach.)

But the navy missed shelling the bunkers overlooking Omaha beach. Just a slip-up... many dramatic military stories involve an error like that. The operations that go off without a hitch don't make very good stories.

7. As much as I hate war I can not help but admire the courage of the men who took Omaha beach.

I think every teenager who is thinking war is great needs to see the real carnage that is war.
