Clinton Addresses Planted Questions Flap

Video:
Clinton On Planted Question

As noted in Starting Gate this morning, Hillary Clinton has been getting heat over the fact that her aides have, on more than one occasion, given suggestions to audience members at campaign events as to what they should ask the candidate. Yesterday in Waterloo, Iowa, Clinton addressed the issue.

"It was news to me and neither I nor my campaign approve of that," she said, according to CBS News' Fernando Suarez. "It will certainly not be tolerated."

Pressed about other instances in which this has taken place, Clinton said "you know everything I know."

Rival John Edwards is hammering Clinton over the issue, suggesting it's "what George Bush does."

2. LOL
:rofl::rofl:

You know, I would at least have some respect for Clinton if for once, she would own up to fucking up, take responsibility for her actions and admit that she fucked up.

Instead, we're treated to the spectacle of the possible next president weaseling her way out in a manner that is reminiscent of Bushboy.

7. Yeah, ol' Bill did have a way with the weaseling
While frankly I think the investigation into his personal life was over the top and a crime, I do have to admit that he stuck his foot in it with the statement about "it depends on what the definition of "is" is" Priceless, and should be up in the weasel wording hall of fame.

3. Edwards is still lying about it.
Rush Limbaugh played a clip of Edwards lying about Hillary today and Edwards told bigger lies about Hillary than Rush did. Edwards says ,like Bush, Hillary screens her entire audience and all her questions. Rush just said Hillary's staff planted some questions and she ought to take responsibility for what her staff does. People were outraged here when I compared Edwards to Rush but Edwards can be even worse.

4. Which senior staffer?
From the Grinnell College article at http://web.grinnell.edu/sandb/questions.html

After her speech, Clinton accepted questions. But according to Grinnell College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff ’10, some of the questions from the audience were planned in advance. “They were canned,” she said. Before the event began, a Clinton staff member approached Gallo-Chasanoff to ask a specific question after Clinton’s speech. “One of the senior staffers told me what ,” she said.

OK, so Hillary is denying that she had no knowledge of this senior staffer's actions when it comes tot the Q & A plan at this event? Gimme a ____-ing break.

think of the magnitude of the staged press conferences, etc we can look forward to if she becomes the POTUS.

She's GOP lite.
