Heads UP! Did any DU'ers hear Bush's Turkey Speech today where he told Cheney joke?

Reason I ask is that I distinctly heard Bush say that the names Cheney suggest for the Turkeys was "LAUNCH and Dinner" and not as Dam Froomkin's post of the WH Transcript which says "Lunch and Dinner" were what Cheney suggested. I know Bush mangles his syntax but he was using his deepest Texas "twang" and there's no way that "Launch sounds like Lunch" in Texas speak. I wondered if anyone else heard him say this the way I did, which I took to be a frat boy joke by Bush about Cheney's Iran ambitions? :shrug:

Bush's pardon of a Thanksgiving turkey (two, actually, including the back-up) went off without a hitch this morning. From transcript: "I also thank everybody who voted online to choose the names for our guests of honor. And I'm pleased to announce the winning names. They are 'May' and 'Flower.' They're certainly better than the names the Vice President suggested, which was 'Lunch' and 'Dinner.'"

1. I heard "lunch" not "launch"

It was still a slight at Darth, though ... I thought I heard that Cheney was going to be the one pardoning the turkeys this year -- maybe this was to get back at Dick for making The Decider delay his departure for Camp David just for a photo op with game birds.

who listened caught it. I really shouldn't watch Chimp because it's always disagreeable and I want to throw something... If it's affecting my hearing then I know for sure I need to avoid. :D

5. Yeah... I did too. Although I heard it on a news piece playing

in the background and wasn't paying major attention. But, it was a jab at Cheney, however mild (and it was mild)....

8. That sounds like too much information for me. I never want to hear * say the word "launch".
