This 2008 Election if UP FOR GRABS! you heard it Here.......
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 09:18 PM by KoKo01
There's no clear contender...and it will be "Bloodbath to the FINISH!....

Who agrees?

This is why I think this: M$$$$$M is doing all it can to disrupt, do PsyOps and interfere..inspite of all the work we've done to try to confront them...they own it! Wall Street's Power Houses are doing their best to control it on both the Dem and Repug fronts trying to shut down any legislation for reform like they did with ENRON...think..."Mortgage Melt Down".."Corrupt CEO's, BOD and the rest that have make out like BANDITS through the "S&L CRISIS," "ENRON," "Dot Com Bust" and now all the rest.."Deficit, Outsourcing of American Jobs, Illegal Immmigrants building the houses that fueled the Mortgage Crisis" (flipping, Sub Prime Lending) and Credit Card Debt on the backs of those "Consumers" who are Spent Out for either College for Kids, Healthcare Needs, or just to Live through NAFTA OUTSOURCING of AMERICAN JOBS GONE!

America is BANKRUPT! They've Sold it off and whats left the Saudi's like the countries of the UAI ...Abu Dahbi, UAI, Dubai will buy the rest.

So...what's left to us? NOTHING. Stolen ELECTION '08 with the DRE's still out there...and Voting Reform but a memory because the bills that were PROMISED by our Dems have not been HONORED. Subpoena's to Bush Crime Family are UNANSWERED...(Leading Senate Ops say...they are "working on it") but nothing happens and Karl Rove has cushy job as Op Ed for "Newsweek" and speaking engagements netting him Thousands...and credibility.

I could go on...but DU'ers who've been here know the deal and it's worse (as you know) than my few examples.

This ELECTION 2008 is UP FOR GRABS. So many folks fighting for the pot...but we here on the Netroots still are not quite strong enough to take it for our own. NOT YET!

It's going to be some very strange toss up. Who do YOU THINK will MAKE IT TO THE END? Who CAN BE ELECTED...WHO WILL BE ELECTED...and DOES IT MATTER THIS TIME or does it matter more...four years from '08 or four years from then?

(Cleaned up for typo crap)

2. There are many here not so as impatient as I ...who say "baby steps...baby steps."
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 09:11 PM by KoKo01
I think that's what it will be. I think being impatient will cause health problems or addictions amongst us who are ...so tired of it all...who've watched it for decades...who "THEY WANT" to become demoralized...sick and gone.

It will be for the fittest to WIN. Let's hope that those "Fittest" don't succumb to the corruptions in their path. :-(

3. I know what your saying
Any reasonable person would be sick and tired of it all really, there are no "they" underneath there is only "us" nothing daylight can't cure, and it will eventually sure as day and night.

Most here are on the shore where light shines first, behind us still dark and painful but I don't think any one of us will crawl back into the night for safety, remember to take time for yourself and smell the roses. Peace

4. The congressional Democrats have done very little to build...
on their majorities. I don't see the Democrats getting many more seats, especially in the House.

Murtha believes that up to 50 more seats can swing their way. I don't see that at all. They will be fortunate to hold the 233 they have right now. I don't see the GOP retaking the majority, but the Democrats in congress have done very little to justify a larger majority. Realistically, we could gain upto 6 Senate seats (net). 55-45 is the most likely scenario.

8. It is a worry.
We are up against so much...it might not go as well as we hope... The opposition has so much more to work against us than we have to throw at them to stop them. But, we are making progress. Just might not quite be enough for this time as much as a clear path that many think we will have. There's so much spinning and we still don't know what most of the America will do when it comes down to the wire...if Bush pulls another stunt by invading Iran or whatever other tricks they have in their magic bag of darkness.

10. A good night for us would be 300 EV's...
54 Senate Seats, and another 5-10 house seats.

that Nader got the most publicity for saying it

I voted for him in 1996, but only because Illinois was a safe state.

I did it in hopes that a viable third party would spring forth and save us from corporate fascism.

that said, I just checked to see if my passport, renewed in 2005, is still in its place a few feet away.

yes

6. I know what you say....we needed a third party long ago...but they end up as
throwing elections so they aren't popular. But, I'm not one of those Nader haters who blame him for "Selection 2000." One might as well blame all those Buchanan voters who got the bogus votes in FLA that even Buchanan said he was sure he didn't win. The BLAME for that election goes to the Bushies and the Supremes who had it all FIXED...whether Nader came in or not.

Anytime voices speak up they are trounced by both parties. Look at Kucinich....if Edwards really wanted CHANGE he'd join up with Kucinich and do a real THIRD WAY...not that "Third Way" that's being touted where a Dem and Repug run together which is just a new step to getting rid of our Constitution by putting in two "Hacks" from both parties who will compromise even more than the give aways we've already seen.

I have hope that the Netroots have started the way to a third party or a real third way that brings back LABOR (working people in America ...white collar, blue collar, service industry...and all the rest") under a huge tent that will work to restore a balance in our system. We have another Gilded Age that needs crusaders to bring reforms and to break up the Monopolies.

I guess it has to get so much worse before the reforms that are needed can take shape with masses of support. We folks out here should be proud for being at the beginning of this...as bleak as it looks to us now...it's because we are finally realizing what we are really up against...from OUR OWN. We didn't know that until our Dems took over House and Senate and then told us "it still isn't enough" when the crimes go on pages in legalize as to what they CAN DO, NOW...if they had the will to do it. They don't and that's the problem. But, at least now we know it and don't live in fantasy that getting a Dem President in will suddenly restore what Bush Crime Family and Cohorts have worked decades on taking away from us.

I'm hopeful...but it's too long out for me to feel good about it. But, there will be folks who will see the progess...and that's what has to be worked towards...

9. I just pray we get the chance to vote in the General Election.
And I pray the number of votes for the Democrat nominee far outweighs the ballot corruption.

And of course I pray my candidate is elected to bring REAL and POSITIVE change to the White House, and to our nation.

11. This election is up for grabs.... but only one is willing to fight the corporate interests EDWARDS!
This is an opportunity to vote for Real CHANGE in 2008.

Just think how ineffective negotiating with corporate interests has been in the past.

We have to be willing to fight them tooth and nail!

Edwards will lead that fight. We don't need a President who try to negotiate with these entrenched interests by appealing to their sense of right and wrong, and ask them to voluntarily give up their power.

I hope this opportunity is not missed. If we do, there is no telling how long it will be before we have this opportunity again. Meanwhile our country will continue to implode without immediate change.

Trust Fund AND millions of people will move to Medicare AND hundreds of thousands of vets will require care AND resources will be even more scarce while the population grows.

It matters now and I hope to think it is up for grabs but...

Still I'll vote for the candidate who has an established record of voting for the people, our Constitution and knows the right course of action when it matters AND is willing to hold others accountable to restore faith in our nation.

As the Oil Union Workers of Iraq stated their country will not take kindly to those who try and steal their resources from future generations, we need to realize what we our leaving to the next generation.
