16. FIOS is definitely fiber optic
As soon as it's offered in my area, I'll be signing up, it will bring my total monthly outlay for phone, internet service and hi-def TV way down, at least for the introductory period.

12. Dual T-1 baby!
"T-1 or better" should have been an option.

My friend's office is in my loft complex and he dropped me a free feed on their business service. I am truly blessed with wonderful friends.

17. Wireless broad band...
switched from cable/dsl to wireless because I use the lap top from multiple locations (cities) and instead of needing multiple services in different locations I could use a single one. At first (a year ago) it was about as fast as my old service - and when out of network it was somewhat faster than old modems, but slower than cable (I only am in that situation/out of network a day or so a week.) But the service keeps upgrading (since it is a new market - and the game for the providers of wireless broadband is to try to out preform traditional cable) - it is now faster than my old service, and the out of network - while slower than the old cable... keeps approaching that rate.
