8. I'll never forget the long journey on election day;

this was in 2001 when Warner was elected Governor. I was house-sitting in Woodbridge, drove to Fredericksburg to vote (the polls opened at 0600), immediately after voting drove to the Base by 0800 (stationed at Fort Belvoir at the time). 1 hour later my partner and I had to drive past Front Royal for Funeral Escort duty.

At the end of the day I was thoroughly exhausted, but I didn't mind. I helped vote Warner into office, took care of a coworkers house and pets, and presented the U.S. Flag at a funeral. It made me feel proud to help others.

Senators Webb and Warner (Mark) from the Commonwealth of Virginia sounds great!
