US Working to Remove N.Korea from "Terror Sponsor List"
http://english.cri.cn/4026/2007/11/03/164@290731.htm

A top US diplomat says the country is working with North Korea to remove it from the so-called "blacklist of states sponsoring terrorism."

US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill made the remarks after meeting with Chun Young-woo, South Korea's Deputy Foreign Minister and chief negotiator for the Six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue.

"We are in the middle of work with the DPRK with the understanding that the DPRK wants to get off the list and we also want to get them off the list."

1. Why aren't countries that possess nuclear weapons allowed to be on the US terror list?
Any ideas?
