A Freerepublic blast from the past - Wayne Dumond
The freepers are weighing in on Huckabee's Willie Horton and one of them has dredged up an old thread from 2000 proving once again that the right is always wrong.

"Saying this is BillyBob's biggest crime is a tad premature. We still don't know all of them."

"the most corrupt and despicable president in US history"

"First I've heard of this. I'm ready to believe Clinton is capable of doing anything, so long as it is evil.p>"

"Thank you for this post.
I have not been up to speed on what has gone on with Wayne in quite a while.
The Train Deaths and Dumond gate are the real scandals--not sex."

"You ain't seen nothin' yet. There was once a thread last year that strongly suggested that < /Clinton > may have, get this....MAY HAVE KILLED HIS OWN MOTHER."

"Please, Lord, let these monsters get what they deserve!"

"I can think of one hillBilly who should be hog tied and castrated."

2. well, back in 2004
Rush Limbaugh implied that John Kerry had Sen. Heinz killed so he could marry Teresa for her money...

so, there is no level that these folks won't stoop to.

7. Then he must have had the helicopter pilot commit suicide
Heinz was killed when his plane had trouble, and a helicopter pilot volunteered to check out the landing gear from below. The air flows around the plane and helicopter came into conflict and caused the crash.

18. Obviously
it was Kerry who sabotaged the landing gear, and then launched a shoulder-fired missile that caused the helicopter to crash into Heinz' plan. And, then Vince Foster saw it, and was going to spill his guts on Kerry and the Clintons when he was killed by the Clenis and then made to look like a suicide.

Deviously sinister.

4. Reality will be scrubbed from Freepturdia - yet again ...
like when they said that Al Gore was causing the stock market to crash in Dec 2000 ... and then the market tanked repeatedly under Bush, and that thread was scrubbed from Freepturdia ...

Go here search on "train deaths".

While Clinton was governor of Arkansas, he was part of an international drug smuggling ring. One day, I can't remember the details, 2 teenagers stumbled upon the drug smuggling operation They were killed and their bodies laid across some railroad tracks to be run over by a train.

The evidence is that while Clinton was governor of Arkansas, 2 teenagers were run over by a train.

8. Dumond is NOT Huckabee's Willie Horton
Mike Dukakis didn't know Willie Horton was one of many beneficiaries of the Massachusetts early release program.

Dukakis didn't write a "Dear Willie" letter when Horton was released.

Horton raped a woman and stabbed a man; Dumond raped and killed two women after his release.

After the Horton case blew up on Dukakis, he manned up and took responsibility, even though his only involvement in the case was being the governor when Horton was released. After the Dumond case became an issue, Huckabee has issued two or three stories about his involvement, whined about how unfair the whole thing is, and - get this - complained that "Suddenly I seem to be in the cross hairs of every predator who is out there."

"Predators," Mr. Huckabee? What an unfortunate choice of words, but one that I guess naturally suggests itself when Wayne Dumond is involved.

10. Good post.
Was not the furlough program (the one by which Horton was released) started by Dukakis' republican predecessor?

11. Yes, it was
But the facts get so fuzzed up so quickly (I wonder why that is on certain things, but on other things the media can focus on the kerning of a typed memo?) it's easy to get things confused.

Horton was one of many in a Department of Corrections program; Dumond was a special case who garnered the personal attention of the governor.

Thank God, after 14 years Wayne was finally released on Fri. 11/22. Out of the blue, Wayne was brought in before an official (parole board member) and told to fill out the application for parole in Arkansas. This after 14 years of appeals and rejections. Within a month, he was out.

Something changed suddenly and drastically regarding Wayne's release. We think that Gov. Huckabee may have finally pushed it through, though it was the not the clemancy DuMond had sought in the past.

Here's an AP article on his release:

DuMond released from prison
