Iran, China Finalise Two Billion Dollar Oil Contract
TEHRAN (AFP) — Iran and China's Sinopec on Sunday signed a two billion dollar contract to develop a major Iranian oil field, a crucial deal for the Iranian energy industry at a time of mounting international pressure.

--
"The initial estimation of cost of the project is about 2.0 billion dollars and the final cost of the project will be decided after the offering of the tenders," said Iranian Oil Minister Gholam Hossein Nozari.

--
The signing came at a time when the United States has been pressuring European and Asian firms, including oil majors, to cut their business ties with Iran to exert pressure on the Islamic republic in the nuclear crisis.

"The signing shows that there is no lack of investment in Iran and we are solidifying our economic relations with China more," said Nozari.

"The second message is that if other countries are willing to invest in the big oil and gas fields of Iran they should not lose the opportunity," he added, in an apparent warning to any dithering Western firms.

3. US attempts to apply pressure and the world ignores us.
Big surprise- the "Lone Superpower" is fading into obscurity.

4. Bush has destroyed all US credibility
The Chinese are laughing at Bush. They won't even let US war ships near Chinese shores although that may have more to do with their fear of being seen as an accomplice to an illegal invasion. On the other hand, it makes them way more credible to others.

6. They're executing theirs?
In some parts of India if a homeless person falls asleep for too long, he/she will wake up without those organs. This planet has horrible people everywhere.

9. And selective abortions too.
:(

Amazing. With their male-centric society (and people think the US has patriarchal problems), or at least the way the media makes their society out to be in what little they present, it's amazing they have any females AT ALL. Without women, none of us would exist. To mistreat women is disgusting. Period.

7. With 1.3 billion people, they're not going to care who they slice up.
Never mind the poisoned products, it's dim that the US is seen as worse... especially how Corporate America (whoops, 'multinational corporations') helped build these folks up.

And now the Chinese are worried over US "protectionism". Well, in the corporate world, most people who make bad products are shunned. China is not special. (nor is America, obviously, but that's another subject of separate discussion.)
