For me, boarding KSM, Zubydah, or any AQ suspects....
Edited on Thu Dec-13-07 05:51 AM by ingin
If it was just 4 or 5 top AQ leaders, I would have little problem with it. I guess I'd have to accept life in hell if "god" couldn't understand. But that shouldn't be what scares you.

What if the Bushise were so feed up with the CIA, that they extended the use of their "enhanced techniques" to private contractors. Maybe that's what happened at Abu Girab. Since the CIA didn't have the stomach to commit war crimes by torturing suspects, they hired PC's to do the ones that they thought the CIA and anybody else would have problems with.

I know that it is wrong for so many reasons to condone torture by my government, but I would have given them the benefit of the doubt 10-20 years down the road if it didn't turn into a common practice with these guys.

To me, the only good to come of the revelations regarding the Zubydah tapes, is that it could destroy the Bushes, and help it the process of rebuilding America's credibility geopolitically.

What should be looked into is whether Bush admin officials hired PC's like Backwater's Intel subsidiary to conduct the "enhanced techniques that the CIA was authorized to use only against top AQ's in the first years after 9/11. Maybe in attempts to connect AQ/Iraq, or WMD's, or even the post Saddam counter-insurgency. Think about it, how would an MP at a war zone prison know who's CIA, who's Military, or a PC? Especially when CIA or Def. intel probably were out of uniform. And I would figure, any of such people would be escorted by brass, and would most likely would have no need to flash creds past the main entrance.

To these points, sightings, and opinions, I have come to a belief, in which I hope that you will take into serious consideration, dispute any qualms one would have for my view of the waterboard of Zubydah.

It would be a strategic disaster the Dems, comparable to Bush spitting on the US/Iran diplomatic opening during the overthrow of the Taliban, to go after the CIA on the destruct of the tapes, or what we yet know of what they recorded. It has become evident, since the outing of Valerie Plame, that the CIA, as well as most of the U.S intelligence agencies disapprove of how their assets have been utilized under the Bush admin. I never specifically ventured to quantify the relationship between time, source, accuracy, and political atmosphere, but I feel comfortable to assume that the steady stream of leaks to reporters from the U.S. Intel community was barley a leaky faucet until the time surrounding the Niger docs and the "Prague" meeting.

Since Bush took office, the world has changed on multiple fronts, good, bad, and exponentially. As the Bush/Cheney cabal was conducting their policy that required radical consolidation of power utilizing domestic propaganda and an anti-constitutional demand for loyalty of government employees (I thing that if it is found that Executive branch appointees or staff sign a loyalty agreement by order of the President,or on his behalf, that it breaks the oath of office), humanity, especially Americans, have gained the ability to find out about it.

They didn't anticipate how the internet would become the peoples check and balance. We Americans have become a de facto investigative arm available to those left in our government with decent intentions. The social evolution of the e-grass movement either broke these stories, or perpetuated the lost ones till they were found. But we must take into consideration where a good portion of this info came from.

When this long nightmare is over in 2009, you can bet we'll be waking up in the middle of the woods. War will not... just... end. The next President will inherit an America, a world looking down, over the edge of a black hole. It will be impossible to avoid some global stand off somewhere between the West, and one, maybe multiple factions and fronts. What happens in the opening year could decide the fate of America, and humanity.

We need our ears to the ground.
