9. So we need to know how many Iowans are undecided and how many
watched or will watch this debate...

It may be useful data for the Edwards' campaign team.

6. Haven't you heard?.....guess not. Kucinich wasn't allowed into the
debate. I think the reason was that the Des Moines Register deemed him less of a candidate because he has no Iowa office in Iowa with Iowa staff!??? Does anyone else recall?

12. Edwards will do well with the Independents/Undecideds and Unaffiliated Voters...
He represents what we need to take back our government for the American People.

He is right --it will be a fight.

13. But he never did that as Senator.
BTW, I'm an Independent who votes Dem and I will NOT vote for Mr. Sunshine. Neither will anyone I know after I tell them how Mr. DLC really is.

14. Edwards was an elected Democratic Senator. By your own admission you are NOT a Democrat.

15. What does that matter?
I vote in Dem primaries. I simply don't register with any party because I don't have to in my state.

But, to answer, what I think was your response, Edwards never ACTED like a Democrat when he was a senator. War supporting, PATRIOT Act-writing, NCLB-loving, bankruptcy-bill-funding DLCer, is what he was. A CONSERVATIVE Dem, by his OWN admission.

It seems like a weird claim to make.

17. Edwards is timing this just right for Iowa...
Edited on Fri Dec-14-07 08:10 PM by Blackhatjack
You have to read between the lines when it comes to the MSM since they prefer an Obama v. Hillary showdown in Iowa. However, it is clear that Edwards is well-positioned to succeed at the Iowa Caucuses --and there is no panic to be found inside the Edwards Campaign.

Edwards has placed a supporter in the position of precinct chair in 75% of the precincts in Iowa. Three-Quarters(3/4) of Iowans who plan to caucus for Edwards have caucused before, and thus are most likely to show up and actually caucus. Edwards has visited all 99 counties in Iowa AND HAS ANSWERED QUESTIONS, not just a speech and gone visit. Edwards' Campaign has concentrated on rural voters, and his message is really connecting with Iowans.

Edwards has not inundated the airwaves with TV messages, and thus has not hit his 'ceiling' that tv ads create. Obama and Hillary have spent millions each for months --they have hit the ceiling as far as tv ads go.

The Edwards ground operation is second to none.

Seasoned political strategists have Edwards on their radar screen in Iowa.

The Edwards people seem to be right on schedule to surge at the right time.
