Nothing but his support of "The Constitutional Amendment for the Defense of Traditional Marriage."

We got his expensive, two-side hard glossy offset print mailer on this "pressing issue," and I can't help but think that the majority of the city consisted of nodding heads. Ours went right into the fireplace.

Seeing as the Democratic Primary HERE in Michigan will be a "one horse race," I expect to see TONS of Republican shit very soon. Sigh.

I am starting to look forward to the economic/social/political collapse. It has to be more entertaining than the shit that's going on right now.

D and I will be in the tip of the Northern Peninsula in 7 years, on property with wind turbines, hydroponic greenhouses (with a niche for the "White Widow" when things get stupid enough to make that an item nobody will care about), a woodlot, well, and septic fields.

Stop by for a "heavy on the veggies" barbecue in a few years. Look for us in the rural area around Traverse City.

1. it's the divide and conquer message,
as long as they can push the buttons that drive the wedge deeper, they don't have to talk about such trivial things as jobs. Afterall, we're a "service economy" now, no need for manufacturing. No need to discuss the national debt, no need to talk about universal health CARE.

I've often wondered what it's like to work for a college degree and then get a job in the mail room, unless you're lucky and get to push paper around for 60K a year. How does that work?

3. It took me 4 financial disasters, 36 years and dumb luck to pull it off.
You could have described my job ("...you're lucky and get to push paper around for 60K a year.")

It was purest blind luck, but I don't have a pot to piss in for retirement: I have to somehow do the "commune" or starve in 5-6 years.

2. I really mean that invite.
I'm thinking possible "Commune" up there. Feel free to PM. Maybe we can share email addy and possible skills list.

This could work, maybe.
