Is she over reacting? Does this mean the whole long campaign will be negative and bad, bad, bad?

1. It's happening because there are too many people around who
are paid to say what they say.

8. Fire Wolfson?
Would it be a smart thing to do? Yes. But I don't think Clinton will do that any time soon. She can try to stay above the mess as long as she has an attack dog on her payroll ready to tear into the other candidates on command.

11. She wants an alienating camapign manager? OK by me, I'd never support her,
but I suspect many who don't know details about what the DLC stands for, would see the look of desperation in these actions.

10. We have an adult - his name is Wes C lark
and while little Hillary is tattling to the teacher on Barry and Barry is pulling little Hil's pigtails and pretty Johnny boy is talking in the back of the class---

there is an adult out there trying to stop Bush's incipient War with Iran.
Wesley Clark

"All Americans want to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons and interfering on the ground inside Iraq.

Yet, President Bush's continued saber rattling gives the US little additional leverage to engage and dissuade Iran, and, more than likely, simply accelerates a dangerous slide into war. The United States can do better than this.

Whatever the pace of Iran's nuclear efforts, in the give and take of the Administration's rhetoric and accusations, we are approaching the last moments to head off looming conflict. Surely, it is past time to urge President Bush to exercise leadership and start to work now to avoid a widening of the conflict in the Middle East.

That's why today, I'm joining Jon Soltz, Chairman of VoteVets.org, the preeminent organization representing Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans, to launch StopIranWar.com.

Visit StopIranWar.com today and sign the petition to President Bush. War is not the answer"

5. Clinton over reacting? Yes.
The Dowd column would have been nothing more than the subject of half a days water cooler conversation if Clinton's communication director hadn't jumped. Now it is being discussed on every talk show. In my view that discussion will only make undecided Democrats think more seriously about Clinton's high negatives.

7. I'm a Hillary supporter
and I think this is an overreaction (by Hillary's campaign, that is). I think it will blow over quickly, so long as it does not become a pattern.

12. I feel
Hillary probably thought her last name and fame alone were going to do the trick. Hillary Clinton is running, so nobody else has a chance. Well, it turns out she is running against 3 other excellent candidates (no disrespect to Biden, Dodd and the others that do not stand a chance), and one of them is TRULY capturing the hearts and minds of the American people. Not what she expected. At all.

she did nothing but bring attention to the fact that a big fundraiser who used to help her is now supporting Obama.

17. It's Clear To Me That Hillary And Her Campaign Are Worried That They....
can lose. They didn't think that going into this. They thought that everyone was going to fawn all over them. What I saw today with this overreaction by the Hil Campaign and Wolfson is reminiscent of what the Repugs have been doing to the Dems since the run-up to the 2000 election.

Hillary is the one playing dirty here. There was no reason to make this an issue. If anything she or her campaign should have dumped on Geffen as he was the one that made the comments.

I saw his statement that he issued and he made it clear he is not an Obama Campaign Finance Mgr. Wolfson indicated that he was Obama's Finance Mgr even after he knew Geffen issued his statement that categorically said he isn't.

These are not the tactics that I want to see going on during this campaign for the Dem nomination. I don't want to see the Dems eating their own. It only gives the Repugs ammunition for the general presidential campaign.

I don't think Obama has to dignify this attack from Hillary. He doesn't have to disavow Geffen or give the money back or apologize.

Geffen is his own person. When he was quoted in Dowd's piece - he wasn't speaking for Obama.

22. I doubt very much
that either Clinton believed it was wrapped up when she announced. They'd have to be idiots to think that, and they're definitely not idiots.

This is, at best, a half-day story that will fade away. It has no long-term consequences.

What an ass. The lying Tony Snow is better than this guy. If this is what we're going to see for two years I'll go into hibernation.

I'm not a Hillary supporter and if guys like this will inhabit her administration it will only alienate me further.

viva la revolution

20. why does Obama say he rejects sliming others - but then has Geffen slime Clinton w/
Obama refusing to say that it was wrong of Geffen to slime Clinton?

Makes Obama look like typical Chicago ward politian - IMO.
