Thunder and lightning in CT in January

Wow. It's not unheard of, but a winter thunderstorm -- with lightning, even! -- is pretty weird nonetheless. It's raining like a bastard, it's dark, it's not cold enough (I want SNOW, dammit), it's miserable...probably won't be able to snowboard this weekend. Strange days.

8. We have Thunder/Lightening/Snow storms here in WV frequently

At least up here in the mountainous eastern part, a couple of times every winter there will be a heavy snowstorm with lightening and (of course) thunder in them. It can be very pretty at night
