I think Dr. King would be loath to have the nation observe a token day in his honor when there's still so much work to be done on all his dreams: race and economic equality, labor rights, and ending the military-industrial complex. This day of all days we should not be silent. Out of respect for the good Reverend Doctor.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California!

But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
