OKAY!! Listen up, Hillary and Barack!! Enough of this shit!
Let me give you both a few words of advice. Tomorrow night, before your debate begins, may I suggest you BOTH apologize to each other, make a pact that there will be no more mudslinging, let it be known you meant no harm, shake hands on it, kiss each other's cheek ON NATIONAL TEEVEE and MOVE ON FROM THIS SHIT SLINGING BULLSHIT! Tell your surrogates there will be no more insults....no matter what.

STOP giving the MSM excuses to nitpick every freakin' word you say. Say NOTHING for them to spin. Leave NOTHING open to be interpreted by the shills to suit their agenda because there's nothing they would like better than to divide the Democratic Party. Haven't you figured that out yet? The MSM HATES Democrats. They want to destroy you and our party. I suggest you both stop giving them the easy ammunition. Straighten up and fly right....errrr...LEFT.

1. So basically you want to take politics out of it and they can act like they are running for 5th

5. Oh stop it. The shit being flung about is unecessary and isn't doing either of them any good. All
it's doing is giving the MSM repuke shills more fodder to badmouth Democrats.

2. Amen.
K & R.

I'm sick of it. they're doing the Republicans' work for them, and the result will be a weakened Dem nominee - whoever it turns out to be.

They better have a meeting and step off.

6. They're done. They both called a truce. Now that needs to be enforced
with their surrogates and supporters.

7. They did? When?
Yes, they need to make it clear to their surrogates to KNOCK IT OFF.

8. There's a few threads on it from earlier tonight. It's the people around
them that are being stupid--I don't think Hillary is racist, and I don't think Obama wants to play the race card and be a victim, and their campaigns need to veer back onto the high road.

9. If you go back to what either actually SAID. . you can see that this is
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 08:58 PM by annabanana
a manufactured conflict. It is being deliberately trumped up and screamed from each commercial break by a media that is taking advantage of the situation to do major damage to the Democratic party...
(especially MSNBC and family)

At 12:50 pm today, Andrea Mitchell Greenspan declared the death of the Democratic Party. . "torn apart by issues of race and gender". This has been echoed all day by the Right Wing Wurlitzer to a screeching crescendo on Hardball. . .Tweety "interviewed" an Obamaman and a Clintonite on a split screen and tried to get them to fight with each other. Neither of them would "engage" the way Tweety wanted them to

YET

At the end of the segment he said "There you have it. Issues of race and gender are tearing the Democratic Party apart.", in spite of the fact that they had been pretty damn cordial and non-confrontational, and were both urging everyone to get back to the issues that people wanted to talk about....

I'm sorry corpomedia... I'm not in the mood to play your stupid, stupid games this time...

13. Just wondering,
What should Obama apologize for again?

Did I miss something?

unless Obama been the one attacking her, I see no reason why he should apologize.

How dare you even suggest that beats me.

14. Michelle gave a speech insinuating that Bill's "fairytale" remark was about Barack's CAMPAIGN and we
all know that is not what he said. He was talking about Barack's Iraq War policies/votes/statements.

16. Randi Rhodes played the speech on her show today. I'm sure if you Google it or go to Obama's site,
you'll be able to find it.

Michelle Obama: Husband No Fairy Tale

Sunday, January 13, 2008 7:59 PM

Michelle Obama said Sunday her husband is the person America needs in the White House right now and criticized anyone who would dismiss his campaign as being built on illusion or fairy tale.

She said Barack Obama is the right candidate "not because of the color of his skin, but because of the quality and consistency of his character" and that postponing his bid for the White House was not an option.

"I know about the sense of doubt and fear about what the future holds, that keeps us hoping and waiting for a turn that will never come," she said. "There are a lot of doubters and naysayers out there talking about, `I'm not sure America is ready for a black president.'"

But she declared that "we are more ready and prepared than we can ever know."

Greeted by a standing ovation when she took the stage at the opening of the Trumpet Awards _ an event celebrating black achievement _ she went on to criticize anyone who would "dismiss this moment as an illusion, a fairy tale" in an obvious reference to comments made by Bill Clinton, the spouse of her husband's main rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, who used the term "fairy tale" to refer to Obama's characterization of his position on the Iraq war.

Among that group, she included blacks who might be skeptical about whether Obama is electable. She pointed to his showing in Iowa and New Hampshire and said she is optimistic about his chances in the upcoming South Carolina Democratic primary _ when the black vote will first factor into the election.

"We had a miraculous victory in Iowa," Michelle Obama said. "Ain't no black people in Iowa! Something big, something new is happening. Let's build the future we all know is possible. Let's show our kids that America is ready for Barack Obama right now."

Michelle Obama's remarks were also peppered with references to Coretta Scott King and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., whose 79th birthday is Tuesday.
