Tomorrow - January 16, is Impeachment Day in Congress

Thousands of calls are needed to make it successful.

Nancy Pelosi didn't declare tomorrow to be Impeachment Day, but Congressman Robert Wexler of Florida did!

Today and tomorrow (Jan. 15 and 16) Congressman Wexler is organizing his colleagues to ask House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers to begin Cheney impeachment hearings. Wexler is asking more of his fellow Judiciary Committee Members to co-sign a letter to Conyers asking that hearings be started. We are helping Wexler in this, and we are asking other Congress members to send their own letters to Chairman Conyers.

Two key people need to be phoned at their offices in Washington, DC and reminded that impeachment hearings must be started NOW --

Congressman Bill Delahunt of Massachusetts, New England's only member of the House Judiciary Committee - DC phone #[phone]

Maine Congressman Mike Michaud has already delivered his assertive call for impeachment hearings to Conyers, and seven Judiciary Committee members are also supporting this issue, but other Congress members need to know that they can/should move to do what is right and what the majority of the public wants.

Sorry to keep asking for phone calls to be made, but that's a big part of what Thomas Jefferson called "Eternal vigilance".

We have all worked impeachment for over a year, and this could be the key week for the issue - determining whether it moves ahead or stops.
