The Straight of Hormuz and "white boxes"

So when the Gulf of Tonkin, err, excuse me, Straights of Hormuz incident happened recently, the Iranians were supposedly dumping 'white boxes' into the sea that our ships had to maneuver around to avoid.

Did anyone ever see any photographic evidence of this? It seems like something that someone would take pictures or video of.

2. My coworker was repeating that

She said she saw it on ABC. (I watch ABC and don't remember anything about boxes.) However...get this...she says it was animated.

I almost hit the ceiling. WTF, animated? I literally shouted at her. "Remember the mobile weapons labs that C. Powell only had drawings of?" "Animation? That's the Disney version. In fact, ABC is Disney."

3. ABC also had a very detailed animation

Remember when Jessica Lynch was "rescued" from that Iraqi hospital? Very daring operation, helicopters flying in under cover of darkness, a whole "Raid on Entebbe" style recovery. They had a very enthralling animation to go along with the purely fabulous narrative.

5. Saddam's "Ghost Ships"?

Maybe the white boxes were Saddam's Ghost Ships, only we didn't know that they were miniaturized, due to faulty intelligence. The infamous Ghost Ships were assisting the Iranians and the monkey in the harassment. Occam's Razor states that since this is the simplest explanation, it is probably true.
