Let's all help out Huckabee! A new campaign to let Americans see where Huck will lead!
Today, in Michigan: " do not want to change the Constitution, but I believe it's a lot easier to change the constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God, and that's what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards," Huckabee said, referring to the need for a constitutional human life amendment and an amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman.

Now let's consider what would be entailed in bringing the Constitution in to God's standards. First, we will have to decide if Huck is referring to the God of the Old Testament or the one of Jesus' New Testament.

If we go with the OT, then Huckabee would have to amend the Constitution to incorporate Mosaic Law, which includes the Ten Commandments. There are something like 613 'laws' within the Pentateuch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torah
If Huckabee chooses to take this route, then all Americans would be following the Jewish Torah. Men would have beards; women would be labeled 'unclean' during certain times; slavery would be re-introduced, etc. We would all have to fore go everything science, history, and technology has brought forth in the last 6,000 years, for these contradict the literal Bible. This is a basic tenet of fundamentalism of any variety.

If Huck, chooses the NT god, then we should promote the idea that Huckabee is really a Christian communist! For Jesus instructed his followers to give half of all they had to the poor. For the rich to sell their possessions and give them to those in need. That 'neighbors' should take care of the widows and orphans. Such a system, leaves no room for individually held wealth and conspicuous capitalism. Our campaign should warn that Huckabee will 'redistribute' wealth and destroy the upper class!

I see almost unlimited opportunity to 'nail' Huck, once we clarify which of God's standards he wants the Constitution to confirm.

1. Go Huck Go!
I think Huckabee's message needs to be spread far and wide. He is the Rethug's worst nightmare, a true fundamentalist who actually believes what he says instead of simply using it as a cynical social smokescreen to put billions in the hands of corporations and wreak economic havoc on the middle class.

My guess is that even the American people will eventually catch on to what Huckabee is up to and, when they realize, all but a few hundred thousand will run screaming for the exits.

Besides, if Huck takes a fundamentalist approach to the 10 Commandments then violators should be put to death (it says so right there in the Good Book). That prospect will probably be too much to bear even for the sanctimonious yahoos.
