1. You are assuming the majority of Americans are racist.
What would you say to "Electing a Woman President"?

2. A majority of Americans including blacks are racist
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 05:23 PM by billbuckhead
The only way for the Republicans to win the next election is to have Obama as the candidate.

5. I do not believe that.
And I think Obama's wide spectrum of support from left, right, and center show that a diverse
group of Americans are ready to leave racism behind.

8. I agree with you
I think America is ready for Obama.

I'm supporting Hillary with my primary vote--but that doesn't mean I don't support Obama's candidacy.

29. Yeah, what maddiejoan says.
I also support Hillary but like Obama very much and I'm sure he could also be a fine President.

6. So you're saying we shouldn't nominate Obama because he's black.
Is that right?

7. Yes because he's unelectable under the electoral college
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 05:28 PM by billbuckhead
Dems prove a point about racism and Republicans laugh all the way to the White House.

10. I don't like Obama because he turns the election into a racial referendum
and will let Republicans off the hook. Then you can blame the American people for being racist.

12. Ever lose your job for being a Democrat partner?
Obama supporters are in for rude awakening and I hope it's in the primary instead of pulling the whole nation down in November.

14. You Obama supporters are really winning hearts and minds
I bet I've voted for more black candidates than you have and all major ones lost outside the city of Atlanta. Personally I would rather have Cynthia McKinney as President but she can't win either. 52% of voters are women so Hillary has a chance of making history and changing people hearts. Obama is a lost cause.

Obama will have his movement and millions in the bank and we will have 4 more years of Republikican leadership.

20. So your contention is we shouldn't support
Obama because he's Black? It doesn't matter that he may be exactly what not only this country but the world needs at this time in history. Instead we should ignore our beliefs just because of what the opposition thinks? The weakest and most destructive argument I've read and heard thus far. Oh ye of little faith.....I encourage you to look back over the racial hurdles this country has managed cross over the last 100 years. Not nearly enough, but never the less they shouldn't be taken lightly....

22. Faith is the enemy of truth
American's won't vote in a majority for a black candidate, especially one named "Barack Hussein Obama". They couldn't have invented an easier candidate to beat.

25. um, you do realize that he was elected state wide in Illinois
won in Iowa and got 36% of the vote in NH in a three way race, right? And you are aware that all three states are majority white with Iowa and NH being overwhelmingly white, right?

Black man - scary scary!
Woman - too emotional.
Edwards - no chance.

It will only get worse as the months progress. Watch for the pundits to crank out all they can in support of their Repuke paymasters.

33. Electing a White President
has that ever come up on the CNN scrolls or out of those gaping holes in their mouths?

did they do a
Electing a White Woman President?

what about Beige? Taupe?

CNN is shit.
they talk shit, they wallow in it. then they get toilet brush Wolf to clean it up for mass 'acceptance'.

I have serious concerns about who is acceptable to lead the country - but gender and colour have NO relevance whatsoever. electing a 'black' or a 'woman' who continues the same white man's legacy of wars and injustice doesn't do it for me at all.
