The only problem for Obama? Clinton was telling the truth.
On Good Morning America Barack Obama - who promised to run a different kind of campaign months ago - blasted Bill Clinton for “lying” about a variety of matters. The only problem for Obama? Clinton was telling the truth.

President Clinton’s statements about Sen. Obama are true. Yesterday, President Clinton said he observed voter suppression in Nevada.

The Las Vegas Sun confirmed the tactics that President Clinton was discussing.

Yesterday, President Clinton said Sen. Obama’s radio ad instructed Republicans and Independents to register as Democrats.

President Clinton is correct. Sen. Obama was running radio ads asking Republicans and Independents to switch their registration. In fact, Sen. Obama’s Nevada precinct captain made a flyer urging Republicans to caucus for Sen. Obama “if you think a Democrat will win in November and you don’t want Hillary.”

And it goes on and on. In short: the person lying here, Barack, is you. You did say a couple of years ago that there was little to no difference between you and Bush on Iraq. Your and Clinton’s records on Iraq are also virtually identical. There’s only one different: you voted to confirm General George Casey to be Chief of Staff of the Army whereas Hillary voted against.

1. You don't take on the Clintons unless you are sure you can win

I personally think its a last ditch attempt, perhaps he knows this is the only thing he can do now. Theres a big political graveyard of people Bill Clinton has taken out.

6. Which one of those woman were political foes?
Your sig line and your posts show that you have the same tactics as some of the most hateful people on this earth. I am quite sure i have seen similar sig lines at those sites that have a gathering of such folks. Why don't YOU try a different tactic like actually positively supporting your candidate and showing the negative of the candidate you do not support. Not attacking their spouse. What ya say? You really don't want to be like those most hateful people in the world do ya?

9. Fascination with the Clenis, right down to the sig line
He had an affair with another woman. Horrors. And the hypocrites who prosecuted him were having affairs at the exact same time.

What do you think about Gingrich? He told his wife he was divorcing her while she was in the hospital with cancer. Nice guy. Then he was having an affair while he prosecuted Clinton for the same thing. Tom DeLay, same thing. Had an affair while he made pious speeches.

How about Feeney and the pages, and David Vitter, and Larry (I am not gay, I have never been gay) Craig? What is your opinion on them?

Wow, at least the current pResident didn't have sex with somebody else and get caught. Nothing he did was as bad as that. As if I need it, sarcasm on the last line.

7. "Your and Clinton's Records on Iraq are Also Virtually Identical?"
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 08:11 AM by dkf
You have GOT to be kidding me.

Wow. Talk about lala land.

This is the biggest lie from Bill Clinton's mouth. He assumes that because Hillary make the political calculation to vote for the IWR that Obama would when Obama has said from the start that it was a stupid idea.

That is like saying Howard Dean would have voted for the IWR if he was in the senate or Al Gore would have voted for it. Stupid Stupid Stupid. In fact, if Dean or Gore were running I bet he would say the same thing about them!

Bill says he was against the Iraq war "from the start" when Hillary gave that speech in the beginning talking about Saddam Hussein's WMD and sounding awfully similar to the rest of the war crowd. And then she did vote for the IWR. And she still won't apologize for it.

By saying Obama would have voted for it, I realized that Bill Clinton still thinks it was the right vote. Makes me wonder how much of what we can't stand about Hillary's vote was strategized by him. Is he advising her not to apologize?

The man is being disingenuous. That is how he is. It is in his character.

10. Did you see Obama this morning? No hell.
He didn't blast, attack, call out, rip into.

He was calm and polite about it all and he didn't bring it up, the interviewer did.

He was even given great chances to be rude about it (as the media likes to do) when they brought up leaders who said this was wrong and did he think it was blah blah.
He said he understands Clinton wanting to support his wife, Michelle did the same thing for him. He would just start addressing non-factual statements made about him. Also when he spoke of Bill first he mentioned he was someone we all admire.

He did well. Not war like. They asked if there was one thing he'd like to clear up on show and he mentioned the "republicans had all the goog ideas" Bill had told the crowd he'd said.
After he was gone George S came on and they played what Obama said, played what Clinton said about it and said yep, Bill twisted it. Evidently it's the twisting part party leaders are unhappy about.

It's always a war on the forum it seems...but if Obama was a warrior he was a peaceful warrior.
