There is a rumor that kit whiskey drunk bond (reptile missouri) is retiring
This is coming on the heels of our governor baby doc blunt announcement that he will not seek re-election. The rumor has it that papa doc blunt (reptile missouri) will be appointed to fill bond's (whiskey drunk reptile missouri) seat, while baby doc is going to run for papa doc's house seat.

The rumor of bond's (reptile whiskey drunk missouri) may be true, but, I think the name of blunt is sop tainted now that either one of them would be lucky to be elected dog catcher in podunk. Baby doc is embroiled in legal troubles here he's spent over 89,000 dollars in the last two months on legal fees.
There is speculation that that is what prompted him to announce his non re-election, he maybe on his way to prison. I don't think he could get re-elected from the big house.

Anyway, it's looking good to turn this state from red to deep blue this year, with bond (reptile whiskey drunk) gone, baby doc blunt facing criminal trouble and papa doc blunt (reptile missouri) dis credited I might be able to say I'm proud to be from Missouri next year.

3. I think governor
Though he may change now if this is true. I don't think that bond is up until 2010.

2. Who can the Dems run for the seat Bond is vacating?
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 12:17 PM by TheDebbieDee
Kay Waldo Barnes? Ike Skelton? I'm not familiar at all with the people involved local Missouri politics.

Jay Nixon should have a lock on the Governor's seat the Blunt is leaving, though.

4. Ike's a good guy,
but isn't he a little old? I only know him from the ads on television (we get Springfield MO stations where I live in Arkansas).

5. Tell the truth
I don't like barnes, she's sneaky and underhanded and is 100% corpratist, I have the choice between her and sammy the nazi graves for representative, effectively I haven't any representation in congress.

7. This is good news.

I was living in Jefferson City in 1972 when Bond was elected Governor and Ashcroft elected Attorney General. It was a dark day indeed when
those two came to town. It was the day Missouri turned red and has been so ever since. And although we didn't know it then, it was the
beginning of the long slide down for the country. What ugly people these two were. They were the prototypes for so many that followed.

I am looking forward to Missouri turning blue again. It has been a long time in coming.

8. It's been a long time
A very long time, this state has been ground down and reduced to ashes. it's going to be a long time recovering from the scorched earth policy they've ran on us.

9. Man that title is hard to read
I was stuck on "whiskey-drunk blonde" for a couple of minutes. Caps, quotes, and parentheses would help a lot.

Just sayin'. It's good news, though, if it's news.

18. Bond running for Governor again?
He's already been elected twice.

Besides, there is no money in being Missouri Governor anymore as Matt Blunt has already cleaned up awarding/contracting state services to companies owned by his friends!

20. Oops, I misspoke on that one. No, I don't think Bond will be running for
governor. (I'm getting confused now that we're suddenly playing GOP musical chairs here in MO.)

13. Okay
Our republican Senator (kit Bond) is rumored to be retiring soon. Our governor is Matt Blunt, his father, Roy Blunt serving in the house.
Governor Blunt is in trouble and will not seek re-election, and there is speculation that the son will appoint his father to finish out the term.

14. And as for Roy Blunt and Matt Blunt, they may switch places; i.e.,
Roy runs for governor and Matt runs for Congress (if he can stay out of prison).

There's a lot of speculation as to which Repub will oppose Jay Nixon for governor, and several names are being thrown around, including members of the state legislature and the current lieutenant governor. Some of them would be easy to beat; others not so easy. Matt Blunt had no chance to win and it's kinda too bad he's gone.

Jim Talent may crawl his way out from under his rock to run for governor after Romney becomes the nominee or quits the race.

It's all speculation.

19. Besides running this state into a ditch
cutting medicaid for the poorest and sickest, awarding plum contracts to his friends and supporters, and being a smarmy mother. What got him into trouble was destroying official state records, then firing the guy who blew the whistle on him. We don't know how things are going to turn out yet, but there is a very good chance that what he did is criminal, and unlike the federal government we still prosecute criminals in this state.
