"The View" Co-host Sherri Shepherd Has Never Voted
On The View this morning, Sherri Shepherd recounted her close call of almost missing the cutoff for registering to vote via absentee ballot for the election in November.

(Shepherd resides in New York, but is a California resident.) And apparently this is the first time that Sherri will be voting...ever! Having turned 18 in 1985, the now-41-year-old has missed out on the past five presidential elections because

she "never knew the dates or anything." She said it was important to vote in this one, though, because otherwise, she wouldn't have a right to complain on The View about whomever is elected for an entire year. (She probably meant to say "four years.")

17. The very one.
You know, there's no shame in being ignorant. Ignorance can be cured. Stupid can't.

And there's no worse kind of stupid than the kind of stupid that loudly and proudly proclaims its stupidity and doesn't WANT to cure its ignorance. And has a well-compensated forum in which to do so.

That, in a nutshell, is Sherri Shepherd.

Her whole shtick can be summed up as: "Is the earth flat? Is the sky green? Is the Pope Jewish? Who knows? I don't know. How am I supposed to know? And you know what? I don't care. Because who DOES care? I mean, really??"

43. Here's one of the comments I found there on a Sherri thread:
"Clearly I'm in the minority, but I actually really like Sherri. I think she is funny and real. Obvi I think it is better for people to be registered/vote, but the reality is a lot of people, particularly women, are in her same boat. I know people in my own family that are in their 40s and have never voted/registered because they don't want jury duty."

23. Sherri Shepherd wants $2 million
It's all about the Benjamins.

Though you shouldn't believe what you've read — that the would-be seat-filler is asking for $2 million — she is insisting on more than she is being offered, at least as much as second-tier cohosts Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are getting paid. Says a source close to Shepherd, "Moving her family to the East Coast full-time is a huge commitment, and both her and her representatives are committed to ABC making it worth her while.

"I think," my mole adds, "that ABC's and Sherri's ideas of 'worth her while' are different.

29. Unbelievable! What a maroon!
She actually makes the former View host Star Jones look good in comparison. That's nearly impossible! It's really too bad Kathy Griffin has been banned - again! - from this show because Paw Widdle BawBwa was offended by her stand-up routine. Personally, I believe Kathy is MADE for this show, because she can rip apart a hypocrite faster than John McCain's wife can change his Depends on the campaign trail. Kathy would absolutely anhialate Shepherd - and Hasselbeck and Heaton and anyone else of overt stupidity. I would love to see Kathy go after Ann Coulter one-on-one, but that'll never happen because Ann is too much of a pussy, which is unadmirable in any man with an adam's apple of that size. Aren't women offended by having a person as stupid as Sheri supposedly representing their viewpoint on television?

Everyone has met her or someone just like her almost everyday.

41. I was taken to task on this board yesterday on
an education thread by a poster who informed me that the only way to success is through a straight A average and a degree from a prestigious university. That's certainly all well and good for those who can manage it, but it seems to me that in this country luck and who you know is every bit as important, and probably more so, than what you know.
