As we now know they didn't come here and kill us all but that was the standard reason we were given for not leaving Vietnam back then. I remember because I was alive then. Obama needs to get all over McCain on this BS.

1. I was just thinking the same thing; because McCain says
getting into Iraq is history, it shouldn't be discussed? I hope Obama is all over that; this is a discussion the m$m hasn't been willing to have. We need to hear it, people need to be educated about the boneheaded and illegal decisions made that got us into this quagmire. And McCain needs to own up to his part in it.

2. Yesterday McCain said
if the troops leave Iraq then al-Qaida will take over.

I couldn't believe it! How many people are there in Al-Qaeda? About 5,000...so how are they going to occupy Iraq and create their Caliphate? It's just ludicrous.

4. and the ones who did come here are very successfully living the American Dream
or whats left of it. I read somewhere a few years back that the Vietnamese who immigrated to the US after our leaving their country are the most successful ethnic group to ever immigrate here as a whole. It was somewhere in the 90% employed with a large chunk of them with their own businesses. I fell in love with the Vietnamese people then and I have a lot of respect for them now
