Pelosi to file a civil suit seeking enforcement of the contempt citations ( no Inherent contempt )
Pelosi requested the grand jury investigation on Thursday and gave Mukasey a week to reply. She said the House would file a civil suit seeking enforcement of the contempt citations if federal prosecutors declined to seek misdemeanor charges against Bolten and Miers. The plaintiffs would be the entire Judiciary Committee, who would be represented by the House's lawyers, according to aides to Pelosi and committee Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich.

This won't go to court before Bush is out of office - it will be slowed with motions, etc etc etc..

Like I pointed out before.. its an election year.. Impeachment of Bush, Inherent contempt on the aids, etc.. never going to happen

Consider this matter already DOA.

3. What a bunch of whimps! They want more control after the elections?
The congress has hardly earned any respect after running with their tails between their legs.

4. WHY no inherent contempt????
She is literally stripping Congress of power. Is the Supreme Court involved in inherent contempt?

5. No, from what I read, the trial is done entirely by the House, including sentencing...
I don't think they can be confined past the present term of Congress.
