2. Are they taking off in Florida?
I missed the evening news tonight. If so I will step outside to watch it.

6. Thanks
I love nighttime launches. I don't know why I had the idea they took off in Houston too.

5. Launches just scare the hell outta me.
I'll be so glad when the Shuttle is retired. What a monumental piece of dangerous crap!

7. I love the NASA channel from liftoff to touchdown
Science can be boring sometime but it is always fun to listen to the scientists and engineers who put in so much work for each safe mission.

/going to put 214 on later tonight

8. About 50 minutes and counting.

Looks like I won't be able to see it. I can't see any stars, so I guess it's too cloudy.

9. Staying up late just to watch. Pre-Launch Show has begun and
they're passing along a summary of the mission right now at

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

Have both my machine tuned in. Can't blast the speakers and woofer this time though. That would surely wake up the neighbors and they'd think a jumbo jet was about to crash into there house.

10. Thank You for the Reminder to Watch, tachyon...
Thank You for the Reminder to Watch, tachyon... O8)

I woke my husband up and we watched it together.

Our oldest daughter is and aerospace engineer who works for Boeing for NASA at the Cape, and we often go to the beach here in SC to watch the Shuttle pass by -- when the launch is not at an hour we would normally be sleeping, or too overcast.

This was very nice, we called her on her cell and told her what a picture-perfect launch it was.

If I hadn't been noodling around in here and you hadn't posted this, we would have missed a very pleasant moment.

So thanks again.

Oh, I love you chosen ID, being very fascinated by the concept of tachyons. I have a theory that dreams travel at the speed of tachyons.
