Confession- I often watch part of the first 20 minutes or so of the idiotic Today show.

Now if we thought it was really mean spirited of * to make fun of the lack of WMD's he had pretended Iraq to have years ago, this is just as bad.

This morning they played a clip of the gridiron gathering during which * in his cowboy hat sang something like. . .

". . .looking down the lane and here comes Scooter. . . finally free of the prosecutor. . .it's good to see the brown, brown grass of home"

The staff on the show thought it was really funny.

Now isn't that special. . .?

Outing a CIA agent and all her associates who were tracking nuclear weapons, trashing their careers and in some cases their lives is treasonous.

This country is so sick in someways, it's heartbreaking. Not funny at all.

I truly have to stop watching that show.

2. I've always felt as though most governments were corrupt but the overt

blatancy with which our current one is is just mind boggling.

To make a joke about gross criminality and treason is just wayyyy beyond the pale.

3. The people of this country are being laughed at.

We are used as cannon fodder. We are lied to so the elite can make profits. People are allowed to die for profits because they cannot pay for health care. Older people are marginalized. When we bring up things like treason, dereliction on the job and basically murdering the American people we are laughed at.
How do you like the leaders of our country laughing at the people's misfortunes? I don't like it at all! :dem:
