Let's see, Fallon resigns....
...Cheney goes to the ME, bombing will commence with a joint U.S.-Israeli strike, WWIII will start, and martial law and the suspension of the election will occur here.

Do I got that about right?

It's always been my fear. Not sure about WWIII, but suspending the election? Could be.
This is extremely dangerous stuff, removing the lone human impediment in this criminal administration to an attack on Iran.

19. Perhaps Fallon resigned in order to alert the public and speak against it.
In my dreams, a Smedley Butler will emerge to divert us from this descent into hell.

5. If Fallon is so conscience stricken about the coming war . . .
Let's hope he mans-up and starts sounding the alarm. Hopefully, he's not one of these Colin Powell types who knows how screwed up the situation is but keeps his mouth shut. Both men vowed their loyalty to the constitution not George W. Bush.

...I don't give a flying fuck about who a fucking governor fucks. I fucking care about the soldiers, some of whom I've trained, who are about to get committed to this fucking meat grinder.

13. TPM: Fallon considered to br the 1 man between Cheney & bombing Iran.
Fallon was considered by many to be the one man standing between Dick Cheney and bombing Iran. So in the short term, Fallon's resignation raises concerns about our future policy towards Iran (and as Spencer Ackerman notes, those concerns are likely to be greatest in Iran itself). So much for the return to mainstream foreign policy that was going to be led by Bob Gates and Condi Rice.

17. There has definitely been a strange chain of events.
KBR building domestic detention centers
Military training in civilian landscapes (Toledo)
Police training in civilian landscapes
Cheney "visiting" ME
Sacking more military brass that has a dissenting opinions
Isreal stepping up military operations
US anti-missile defense systems in Isreal
Could all just be a coinky dink but it sure does make you go, Hmmmm.

20. More or less
I suspect there'd be some kind of "incident" (either Iran provoked into acting rashly or, if they prove too smart, a manufactured terrorist incident) before the strike to act as casus belli though. In the entirety of modern history, only W has ever dared start a war without a casus belli and I don't think that dog will hunt a second time. So Iran will be poked and prodded in the hope they'll do something stupid and if they don't, either the American people will be told they did or they'll be a terrorist action traced to Iran. Doesn't need to be much these days, such is the panic going around but it would need to be something photogenic, preferably which invokes nationalist feeling (as the Reichstag did). Some kind of attack on Lady Liberty would be ideal but probably impractical and I doubt W's handlers would get the irony.
