1. I voted for Dorothy Brown.

I'm sick of things like:

- Vetoing the big box ordinance
- Putting cameras in neighborhoods
- Putting peoples' pictures on the Internet for getting arrested for prostitution/solicitation without a trial (putting a disclaimer on the web site doesn't matter)
- Foie gras ban (banning food is stupid and none of it is produced here anyways)

Futile gesture, I know, but I did what I could.

7. I Would Have Stayed Home...
You voted against Richie for all the right reasons and then some. I just couldn't vote for either of the challengers. I would have loved to see Guiterrez run...make Richie sweat a bit.

4. It was such a close election...
This assures Richie will have served as long as his father. And, Chicago will remain the sexiest city...where else do you have a Dick Daley?

In other news..i'm in the burbs...when I moved to this area 20 plus years ago, the Repugnicans controlled everything. We had one of the biggest deadbeats in congress and a ton of local scandals. We kicked out that Rep in '04 and in the last election the GOOP got totally wiped out on the state level...all that was left were the local Repugnicans...and many of those had either quit the party or jumped over to the Democrats. Today, the last remaining local Repugnicans were up for village trustee and they were soundly defeated. Except for fukwad squatting in the White House, there's no Repugnican who represents me on the national, state and now local level. While this area is not blue yet...each day its getting closer.
