This is interesting and so typically Republican.

Explosives allegedly found in suspect’s vehicle were undetected for weeks<\div>
Man arrested near Capitol faces WMD charge

Well once this is done, they can say they found the WMD in Iraq.

The "device" was obviously not glowing in the dark.

This is sooo fucking typical of the oppressive behavior of US Government under Republican rule.

1. What I don't get.....
By that measure, wouldn't a semi-automatic assault rifle also be a WMD?

It could cause as much death as a homemade pipe bomb.

The categorization is completely arbitrary, it seems. How many deaths is now considered "mass".

2. EXACTLY!! It's like anybody getting arrested is also charged the resisting 'cause they ask why?
If the prosecutors get this established as law it's going to turn all kinds of misdemeanors into long jail terms for anyone (except Blackwater of course). Got a tank of gas in your car ... WMD.

3. Atoms have mass.... but let's use this to ban all handguns
And meanwhile, we can't carry more than a couple ounces of liquid onto airplanes. In some places, we cannot even carry water into the boarding area! But, then water has mass, too.... as do we all.
