Incompetence Alert: Pentagon gives inexperienced 22 year-old $300 million contract

lengthy investigation published Thursday reveals that the Pentagon gave an inexperienced 22-year-old a $300 million contract to provide ammunition to Afghanistan. The shady deal resulted in decades old, substandard munitions being delivered to US and Afghan troops fighting on the front lines of the war on terror.

*****************************************

If I'd been a republikkan I could have done the following with little-to-no oversight -- especially if the republikkans had held either the Senate or the House:

1. Made 8 billion dollars of CPA (Coalition Provisional Authorty) just disappear with no investiagtion. Hell...there wasn't even a "We're concerned about where the money is..." moment

2. I could have gotten a billion dollar no-bid contract for almost anything with the only qualification being... I was a republikkan

3. I could have served substandard food to the troops in Iraq without any penalty for doing so.

4. I could have gotten a contract that would have allowed me to hire unqualified people to provide security with a contract that allowed these people to randomly shoot at people with no fear of punishment

5. I could have gotten a contract that allowed me to pillage the natural resources of another country for fun-and-profit under the full and free protection of the mightiest military force on this planet

6. I could have gotten a 300 million dollar contract to provide faulty ammunition to our soldiers

7. I could have engaged in war profiteering without any threat of criminal inquiry

8. I could out a covert agent or two and not be charged with any high crime

9. I could have gotten a contract to fix the infrastructure of a company and after having shown no real progress in five years, I still would have that lucrative deal

10. I could have gotten a contract that allowed me to provide substandard protective equipment to servicemen and women (like helmets and body armor) and still keep my contract.

And You know what the best part is..?

If anyone criticizes me for doing these things, I can question their commitment to the safety and security of the troops and the United States of America and not get 'tarred-and-feathered and then run out of town on a rail."

2. Hey, don't forget the contract to install
electrical equipment at base camps around Iraq... Where the work is so shoddy that the equipment has electrocuted a significant number of American troops (possibly as many as 5 or 6).
