I Wish I'd Been In the Room When....
Next month the second volume of a remarkable historical parlor game will be published, an effort called "I Wish I'd Been There." The first volume asked 20 specialists in American history to choose the events they wish they had witnessed, and the selections include the Salem witch trials, the killing of Abraham Lincoln and the march on Selma. The successor volume asks the same question of specialists in European history, and among the choices are the Battle of the Nile, the surrender of the Germans in World War II, and the preparation of Manet's classic painting "Le Dejeuner sur l'herbe."

I think this is interesting...
so I wanted to ask you all....If you could Pick a time and place to be the proverbial "fly on the wall" when would it be?
what would you want to hear or witness?

for Chip's trial too.

Even if I don't get in, I want to be there.

Can you be tried after leaving office?

And of course, we already have our rooms reserved for Washington DC next January.

I am serious.

:bounce: for OBAMA!

8. I was really hoping that once they are out of office...
we could send them over to help Maliki as sort of an American Envoy.
no body armor, just a couple weapons and air drop them somewhere near Baghdad...

11. I'm not a violent person either--
usually, but these guys have driven me to this kind of thinking. hey if the surge is working put your money where your mouth is, since we want to give them Democracy and Cheney/Bush want to rule the world, I think that's the best thing for all concerned. They started it, they can bring it back to order or die trying.

14. How sweet it would be ~ I would also like to see Bush and Brownie
rescue some people that are lost at sea, in a violent storm.

I'm not violent but Katrina was a sin and a shame and all of them should pay dearly for it.

7. good one...
I think I would like to be both at the plaza and in the autopsy room afterwards--although I wouldn't want to SEE that, I would like to hear the voices--"how do we explain this?"

13. Here's one I've always wondered about...
I'd like to have been there when Jeff Gannon (fake reporter/gay prostitute) got his first day pass into the WH press briefings...how DID that happen?

16. Good one, was Jeff staying in the Lincoln Bedroom?

Isn't it amazing how so many things were never touched or discussed in Chimp's WH?

At least with JFK it was in the papers night and day and it didn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out.
