A vessel belonging to environmental activist group the Sea Shepherd has been seized by Canadian authorities.
The Farley Mowat is currently based near to the contentious Seal cull of which Canada is the driving force.
The Canadians hope to kill hundreds of thousands of seals by bludgeoning them to death - a move that has sparked outcries from around the world.
The Sea Shepherd group - who were again this year active in stopping Japanese whalers from taking whales from Antarctic waters - have been protesting and observing the cull.
It is now reported that their ship the Farley Mowat has been seized by Canadian authorities - who have boarded the ship.
Captain Paul Watson - who is current in the United States - says the boarding is illegal because of the ship's dutch registration.
It is believed the ship has been boarded because of a complaint about the ship being too close to the sealers.
Seal cullers in Canada are protected by a Seal Act, which does not permit for individuals or organisations to watch or observe the cull - an act that has been labeled as censorship and sedition.
It is believed that members of the crew have been placed under arrest by Canadian Fishing Authorities.
Canada this year hopes to kill about 300,000 baby seals.
